We had a different hotel booked and they messed up our reservation so we called this hotel and got a room. Most of the resort was clean, they were working on some rooms from the hurricane damage, but still areas were pretty clean. We enjoyed the pool/waterpark area each day. Only thing we wished we would have had was a full kitchen so we could have cooked instead of having to go out so much. overall a great hotel and we will more than likely be back again.

Maya Angelou said it best, "People will forget what you do. People will forget what you said, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Last weekend the staff at Holiday Inn Suites Orlando Waterpark Resort, made our family feel valued, special, safe, respected, cared for and appreciated. After spending all day running up, and sliding down in the water park, with repeated greetings from the tireless lifeguard, with his charming smile, and his cheerful "Hello Princess!", my five-year-old granddaughter asked me, conspiratorially, "Mimi, do you think I'm his favorite?" Priceless! None of the lifeguards behaved as if this was just a job. They were "kid focused"--not just "task-focused". Sarah, energetically played games with our four little ones poolside, much to their delight! But, it was Karaoke night when she became their fave! :) Karaoke was a first for all of them, and they were not at all sure what to expect. Sarah put them at ease, treated them like little celebrities--complete with interviews, insisting on bows and all!:) She called them by their names, and she and the other staff turned the evening into a party! The children went from skeptical to closing the place down! It was one of their highlights!! One of my favorite moments was when 5-year old Cara sang the oh-so-been-done-before Frozen theme "Let it Go!" Instead of sigh and roll their eyes, LOL, the staff treated it as if it was a special moment, and shocked us all at the end of the song, with SNOW FALLING FROM THE CEILING! WHAAAT?! LOL That blew us all away! It was special and magical. Watching our little ones' wonder, I teared up!! The next day at breakfast, Sarah walked around with the resort mascot for photos. She remembered the kids' names, and they insisted on getting a picture with HER in it! Everything at the resort was clean. The room design fabulous. Loved the extra touch of a text when we got to our room asking if we needed anything. Allie, at the pool, insisted that if there was anything at all that we needed during our stay, to let her know! My husband and I personally visited five water park resorts in Orlando before choosing this one. As we toured the facility to check it out, every single staff member made eye contact, greeted us warmly and offered any assistance or information we needed--even the gardener blowing leaves out of th parking lot! If Chick-Fil-A and Disney customer service is a 10, I give this staff and personnel a 12!! :)
